Kamah was launched in 2008 by Verena Sapper. The designer and managing director of Yoga Label is an award-winning costume and fashion designer. The Yoga Shop is an expression of her personal attitude: to make the world a little better with sustainable BIO fashion for yoga, Pilates and sports. Kamah means "devotional love" in Sanskrit.
Her yoga clothes - the styles and classic, functional cuts - are the focus of her yoga dresses made of natural materials. The high-quality fabrics are made from bamboo, organic cotton, tencel, viscose, linen or modal. Perfect fabric blends are the reason for the very good fits, which comfortably follow every body silhouette - on the yoga mat or next to it.
The COOL CAZZZ Collection is very special, and not just for young yoga teachers who are enthusiastic about yoga.
Sustainable, trendy and at the same time cool yoga tops, yoga pants, yoga pants and leggings are made from recycled PET bottles. Intensive fitness and yoga units are just as perfect with these clothes as chilling afterwards.
The Munich company has been working according to ethical principles for over 12 years, combined with attractive design and premium quality of the basic materials. Through this upcycling, kamah contributes to giving original waste a new meaningful use and also to conserving dwindling resources.
In the yoga clothing from kamah there are favorite pieces for all ages. Here Verena Sapper can incorporate her many years of experience as a costume designer. The yoga tops, yoga shirts or yoga pants are specially cut and processed so that they always fit perfectly compared to normal sportswear specifically for asanas and other yoga exercises. Verena always uses a high proportion of tencel or stretch in her collections for yoga clothing, so that the asanas do not constrict veins, uncomfortable pulling or the clothing sags.
The yoga pants for women are narrow and accentuated yoga pants. Bras / bras are partially integrated into the yoga tops. The seams are firmly sewn and the fabrics are woven with high quality - yet everything remains very breathable. Suitability for everyday use is also important to the designer. The same applies to the men's yoga pant.
The yoga clothing from kamah is easy to wash and easy to clean even after heavy use, such as a lot of sweat.
In the women's and men's yoga collections, Verena has not only thought of yoga exercises or Pilates and other sports, but also of leisure and fashion. The carefully selected fabrics adapt to the body without restricting freedom of movement. In this way, kamah has created collections that can be integrated into the flow of modern everyday life.
All design developments take place in the studio in Munich, their implementation and production in Portugal and Germany. In personal cooperation with the producers - small manufacturers personally selected by Verena - kamah can minimize the ecological footprint as much as possible, while maintaining the sustainable processing methods of old handicraft traditions and also being sure that fair working and wage conditions are observed.
Breathing Exercises - Asanas & Meditation
For many people, yoga generally means movement. However, the asanas (exercises) require much more... namely breathing exercises and meditation. Physical exercise, which is a kind of "workout" after a stressful day at work, has certainly been responsible for the boom in the population. Therefore, more and more fitness chains and premium hotels have included corresponding offers.
The physical exercises for yoga are only a maximum of 100 years old. It's not just asanas in yoga that make this sport much more than a normal "endurance sport". Breathing practice (pranayama) and meditation are the decisive building blocks in yoga, which only create what is striven for. A preoccupation with yourself, your body and mind. Being self-aware is a key point in yoga. Only those who have rediscovered themselves (sadhyaya) have understood the essential point of yoga - which is also based on the healing effect of yoga.
NEU NEU Schmaler Cashmere-Schal aus Nepal, von Hand gewebt
The women of Nepalese shepherds weave these scarves on hand looms in the traditional patterns of the Himalayas. They use exclusively the combed hair of their cashmere goats in their natural colors. So each of the little scarves becomes a very special one.
